About the plant
Cupuaçu is a relative of the more commonly known cacao tree. It grows in tropical rainforests, trees usually range from 16–49 ft in height. The white pulp of the cupuaçu fruit has an odour described as a mix of chocolate and pineapple. It is frequently used in desserts, juices, sweets and can be turned into chocolate.
